Welcome to Season 2 of Fearless Fiction! Sort of. I’m not actually doing “seasons,” but I am making a couple of changes to the podcast, so the analogy works.
This week’s episode is all about committing to your story and telling it with conviction and boldness. Some of the topics covered include:
- How to make your characters feel like real people
- How to immerse your readers in your setting
- How to plot with confidence, whether you’re an outliner or a discovery writer
- What 1 Corinthians 13 can teach us about writing better fiction (yes, I’m serious, bear with me)
You will notice two things about this episode of the podcast: first, it’s being released on Thursday, and second, it’s short (around 15 minutes long). Those changes will stick going forward. The different day and shorter length will allow me to get these shows released more easily and efficiently.
Also, as an additional means of support for the podcast, I’m going to do an $0.99 sale for one of my books every week! The deal will be announced on the show each Thursday, and can be accessed via a special page on my website: kylerobertshultz.com/ffdeals. You can also share this link to help support the podcast!
I have something a little different (and fun) planned for next week’s episode. More details soon.
I’m re-tooling the rewards for Patreon supporters in the near future. Stay tuned!
