Since The Strange Cases of Beaumont and Beasley is an anthology, I’ve actually designed covers for each of the six stories it contains. I’m going to reveal these one by one over the next six days, along with the final synopses for each story.
For now, however, let’s take a look at the cover for the entire book!
This is a slight departure from the usual design of my covers; the series logo and number are displayed differently. It fits the unusual nature of this particular release, especially since this is a “reboot” for the B&B series in some ways. I’m using the anthology format to dive deep into characterization and world-building, in ways that my typical approach of writing solely through Nick’s first-person point of view doesn’t normally allow.
That’s not to say that I’m abandoning the typical formula of B&B entirely in this book. There are some very strong links to where it all began, particularly in the second story (which I’ll tell you more about on Friday). Also, the typical format for the covers will be returning with Book 5–which I will be releasing a final synopsis and cover for once I’m done telling you everything about Strange Cases.
The Strange Cases of Beaumont and Beasley will be released this summer; probably in July, though I’m not making any firm commitment to a date just now. Let me know what you think of this cover in the comments! And watch for further reveals about the individual stories in this anthology over the next week.
