At long last, Horseman (Crockett and Crane, Book 1) is available for purchase on Amazon!
You’re probably all pretty familiar with this story by now, but in case you’re new to the site (and I have been getting a lot more traffic than usual lately, so thanks for that!), here’s the synopsis:
In the year 1790, monster hunter Ichabod Crane searched for a mysterious creature called the Headless Horseman. His quest ended in an embarrassing failure that marked his family with disgrace for generations.
Now, in 1891, his descendant Todd Crane is determined to prove that the Horseman is real. There’s just one problem–Todd is a professional con artist and a seller of unlicensed magic potions. This puts him on the wrong side of the law and right in the crosshairs of U.S. Marshal Amy Crockett.
As the Horseman returns to menace the western frontier, Todd and Amy must join forces to stop the monster once and for all. But if they’re going to succeed, they’ll have to make sacrifices that will change their lives forever.
Enter a Wild West where centaurs wear six-shooters and monsters roam the plains. Welcome to the United States of Neverica.
I know a lot of you have been looking forward to this book being available outside Wattpad for a long time, and I appreciate your patience as I’ve gone through the lengthy process of formatting it for final release. The ebook edition will soon be live on all major ebook markets, and the paperback version is available on Amazon. (I will be adding a paperback edition to Barnes and Noble in the near future as well.)
Once you’ve read the book, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave a review on Amazon as well as the book’s Goodreads page. Thanks in advance for your feedback! Also, don’t forget to enter the giveaway for a paperback copy of the novel. Only five days left!
You can dive right back in with Deadwood, the sequel to Horseman, on Wattpad whenever you like. I’m releasing new chapters of the book every Thursday.
Now, looking to the future: I have some interesting plans in mind for the release of The Strange Cases of Beaumont and Beasley, but before I make any announcements, I need to do a major update/overhaul of this website. I’m probably not going to make any significant changes to the design, but there’s a lot of info that needs to be brought up to date. Once all that is in place, I’ll be able to put all my focus on getting Strange Cases ready as soon as possible.
Have you read Horseman? Give your (spoiler-free) reasons why other people should read it in the comments. Haven’t read it yet? Share why you’re excited!
