Audiobook Announcement: The Last Days of Lady Cordelia

The last audiobook adaptation I have in the pipeline this year is now ready to be revealed! So far, Horseman and The Janus Elixir have both been released on audio, and The Beast of Talesend should be out soon (come on, Audible, get the quality check done already). But there's a fourth audiobook on the way as well…

The Last Days of Lady Cordelia is a novella set between Books 2 and 3 of the Beaumont and Beasley series, and introduces the Neverwolves, arguably some of the scariest monsters in the Afterverse.

Lady Cordelia Beaumont is dying.

That’s what her mysterious nurse tells her, at least. Even worse, her magic powers have abandoned her, her friends are missing, and her whole world has completely changed. Everyone around her is insisting that magic and fairy tales aren’t real. Even the name of her city is different. She’s not in Talesend anymore—she’s in a place called London.

Cordelia is determined to return to her own reality, but dark forces are working against her. An old friend may be able to help—but he doesn’t remember who she is.

Who are the Neverwolves? What is the secret of the Shadow Parallel? And how can Cordelia use magic to escape from a world where magic doesn’t exist?

The audiobook of The Last Days of Lady Cordelia has been narrated by the immensely talented Kim Bretton. Here's a little more about her:

Kim is an accomplished and award winning actress and director with West End/Broadway theatre credits. Kim has narrated over 40 audiobooks and counting. She is also an in demand voice over talent in the commercial and corporate arena and owns her own class A recording studio in Nashville. Kim is from the UK but has lived in NYC, L.A. and now Nashville TN. She continues to work in Theatre, Film and TV as an actress and a director alongside narrating audiobooks and commercial voice overs.

I'm very thankful I found Kim for this project. I received a large number of auditions for this story, but hers was by far the best, with pitch-perfect renditions of all the characters. Kim was a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to collaborating with her again on further audio projects in the not-too-distant future.

The Last Days of Lady Cordelia should be available on audio before the end of the year, if all goes well. However, you can download the ebook version of this title for FREE through Cyber Monday! And don't forget to check out the rest of my Black Friday deals (as well as discounts on many other awesome sci-fi and fantasy books) on the Phoenix Fiction Writers website.
