So I've started a side hustle.
No, it's not illegal dragon racing, though don't think I haven't considered that.
It's a webcomic about mythical people saying funny stuff. Welcome to Chironicles.
A word of explanation: recently, I started posting funny text conversations amongst mythological characters on Twitter and elsewhere. They were popular, and a lot of fun to write, so I decided I really ought to do more with them. I tried posting a couple of very roughly-drawn comics, and they got a good response as well.
And you know what we independent creators do when people like our art–we turn it into a business. Well, actually, this is pretty much just a hobby at present, but the infrastructure is there in case it grows into something more.
So, I experimented until I came up with a better-looking art style, and here we are. The main headquarters for Chironicles is on the official website, but you can also follow the comic's dedicated social media accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. I plan to upload new comics every Tuesday and Thursday (don't worry, they're easy to draw and I'm banking them up in advance, so this won't have any effect on my book release schedules). You can also subscribe to the Chironicles email list to get a twice-monthly digest of comics in your inbox, and if you support the Chironicles Patreon account, you'll get monthly bonus comics.
Oh, and this has nothing to do with the Afterverse, so there's no continuity, story arc, or logic to speak of (you can blame the original myths for the lack of that last item on the list). The purpose of this comic is just to give us mythology nerds a family-friendly laugh.
In closing, Merry Christmas, everyone! I'm taking a break from blogging for the holidays, and scaling back my social media presence a bit as well, but I'll be back in the new year with lots of cool stuff I've been stockpiling over December. 2020 is going to be a very big year for me, so stay tuned.
