Today I'm unveiling the covers and further details about Beaumont and Beasley Books 7 and 8, as well as some updates to my publishing schedule for the year.
First, the fun stuff.
The Curse of Charybdis (Beaumont and Beasley #7)
Whatever you do, don't call me the Little Mermaid.
I am Lara, the Final Empress of the Seven Seas. A long time ago, I died…very nearly. But there's enough of me left to take revenge on the sea witch who destroyed my life.
Unfortunately, there's one person standing in my way. A certain tiresome little mermaid named Molly Beaumont. And I can't kill her without losing my last hope of regaining my throne.
There is one person–or rather, two–who may be able to resolve my predicament: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. But this bizarre creature has schemes of his own.
How many poor, unfortunate souls will I have to destroy to get what I want?
Schism (Beaumont and Beasley #8)
Malcolm Blackfire has fallen.
Lady Cordelia Beaumont is missing.
Nick Beasley is dying.
The White Rabbit has gone rogue.
The Unqueen has triumphed.
The Jabberwock has returned.
Dr. Jekyll has won. Or so it seems.
The final victor is yet to be revealed, but this much is certain…
…not everyone will survive.
Now, to discuss when you can actually read the next three Beaumont and Beasley books. I've been doing a lot of boring business stuff lately–number-crunching and market analysis; so grown-up–and I've decided that it's in my best interest to release these books close together, instead of waiting a month or two in between each one. Ideally, I'd like to release them on a more or less weekly basis over the course of a single month.
That, obviously, is both bad news and good news. It means that I probably won't release The Hare and the Hatter until summer 2020, but also that you won't have to wait very long to read the next two books afterward. These three titles are heavily inter-connected and will wrap up a number of the current storylines in Beaumont and Beasley. After that will come the final six books in the series, which will bring everything that began in The Beast of Talesend to a close.
I would apologize for this delay…but you know what, I'm actually not sorry, because you'll be getting three books in quick succession at the end of it all. Besides that, I need to save all my apologizing for *AHEM* other matters which will become clear after you've read these three books. I think you have a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about from the new synopses.
That said, I am grateful as always for the patience of my readers. Things have obviously been a little crazy lately, affecting everything from my production schedule to my book sales, but I plan to come roaring back from it all in the not-too-distant future. Actually, perhaps I'll let Nick take care of the roaring; he's better at that kind of thing.
So long as he survives, that is.
