Website Reboot and Other Announcements

At long last, the server change for this site is finally finished. As you can see, I’ve updated it with a new theme, a new logo, and a very nifty one-page scrolling format.

Yes, yes, I realize that you are overwhelmed by all this awesomeness, but please try to get a hold of yourselves. I’ll wait.

Are we good? Wonderful. So, now that the site is back in business, I have a few announcements to make.

Blog Name Change

I’ve dropped the “Dragonthief” blog name for the time being. This is just to avoid confusion and to streamline my branding. Dragonthief, as a conservative version of Disney, is still something I’d like to pursue in the future, but for right now I’m putting it on hold while I focus on some other stuff. Eventually I’ll bring the concept back. (And there’s still a reference to it in the site logo.)

The Beast of Talesend is one of 16 fantasy ebooks you’ll have a chance to win when you enter Lea Doue’s Magical March Giveaway. Plus, the winner will get a really cool custom magic wand. You know you want this. The giveaway ends on March 17, so enter today!

Tales of the Afterlands

And finally, some Beaumont and Beasley news. I’ve slightly changed my plans for upcoming stories in the series. Last month, I said I was going to launch two Beaumont and Beasley spinoffs to complement the main books. Since then, I’ve decided to streamline things by combining the ideas I had in mind into one companion series called “Tales of the Afterlands.” The books will be anthologies of shorter works set in the B&B universe. Some will involve Nick and Cordelia; others will be set in different times and places and feature other characters. Volume 1, Magic and Monsters, will feature the two novellas I announced last month plus one additional short story. You can read more about the anthology here. The Stroke of Eleven, Book 2 of Beaumont and Beasley, is also still in the pipeline.

That’s all for now, but I’m going to get back into a regular blogging schedule now that the upgrade is finished. Thanks for following! I look forward to sharing more stuff with you.
